In dem Brief, sagte Hobbs ihr Büro "konsultiert mit Wahltechnologie- und Sicherheitsexperten, einschließlich des Department of Homeland Security Cybersecurity und Infrastructure Security Agency, in Bezug auf die entsprechenden nächsten Schritte, und alle raten einstimmig, dass, sobald Wahlbeamte Gewahrsam und Kontrolle über Wahlsysteme und Komponenten verlieren, diese Geräte nicht in weiteren Wahlen wieder verwendet werden sollte."
