Over 1⃣0⃣0⃣ million people across Ethiopia still face challenges in accessing timely, accurate health information and quality medical care. Bridging this gap has been the life’s mission of Anwar Muhammed, a health-tech visionary reshaping how communities prevent disease and access healthcare.
19 months ago, we launched with one core belief:
“PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE ,”
and that health information and care should reach every Ethiopian in their own language—no matter where they live.
Under Anwar’s leadership, this belief has translated into tangible progress:
🔸 Health awareness campaigns now active in Amharic, Afaan Oromo, and Somali, rapidly expanding into Afar, Tigrigna, and Swahili
📱 Telemedicine platforms connecting patients in remote areas to professional doctors anytime, anywhere
🖥 Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems improving hospital efficiency, patient safety, and continuity of care
🤖 AI-powered health innovations, soon to be launched, designed to modernize healthcare delivery and support medical professionals
Growing team, partnerships, and community trust fueling daily growth
Every new user, doctor, village reached, and partner onboarded is proof the model works in Ethiopia’s diverse reality.
Through his leadership at NileCare and Nile Technology, Anwar has transformed these initiatives into platforms that save lives through knowledge, strengthen healthcare systems, and build healthier communities.
The plan is clear: scale intentionally to impact over 100 million lives across Ethiopia and East Africa in the coming years, turning prevention into the default, access into a right, and technology into a true equalizer.
Anwar Muhammed is not just creating healthcare solutions—he is shaping a smarter, more accessible, and prevention-focused future for healthcare in Ethiopia and across Africa.
Grateful to the doctors, communities, supporters, and team making this possible—this is just the beginning of the movement.
