This clip is 7 years old...but if you've ever wondered why Albertans have a chip on their shoulder, this is a small peek into it. We're the most productive part of this country, and the most bitter. We don't want government jobs and we don't want femminist communism: "Alberta is as 'young and highly paid' as the rest of Canada is 'old and poorly paid'. Alberta is the only province in the country that has reproduction rates above replacement." (That says something about the state of our families, communities, and priorites - though I can feel that shifting for the worse)

Beyond that, I think there is actually an energetic quality to the land and air here that keeps the population resilient and bull-headed. 😂 Calgary, on average, has 333 sunny days per year. There isn’t really a day that goes by without bright BRIGHT sun shining down upon the land. Our elevation here also gives the feeling of being closer to the sun. Though we lack humidity, the sun makes up for it. Our land is still relatively affordable, our taxes still low, and an entrepreneurial spirit has always been strong here.

There’s frequent city-wide discussion on the radio about leaving Canada, it’s a common topic. Canada is already over. So is the American Empire, so I’m not really posting this to pretend borders or country names matter. Alberta is probably already owned by some other country. But the spirit of the people here has its own quality, it’s own verve, and though it’s a bit of a bitter spirit, I quite like it.

I don’t know exactly why I’m posting this. All the stats are sort of irrelevant in an economic collapse like the western world is facing. Just wanted to talk about Alberta, the people, and the sunshine. It’s a totally underrated location.

If you’re from Alberta or have visited us, drop a comment!

Never mind the plandemic...and economic reset...and impending total communism...and future prez Kamala Lisa Simpson; IF Alberta could just get purchased by the USA, I bet 10 million more Canadians would move here just so they’d have more camping and road trip options. 🏕 🚙 💨

Keystone XL cancellation - maybe the US wants to bankrupt/strangle Alberta first so that the province is more affordable to purchase from Trudeau/the Queen. If there still is a queen.
The name “Keystone XL” is code for “Alberta is the keystone, set to join the USA as the last one placed, the 51st state” 😂🤣😆 Well...they’d also need the northern provinces to build an Archway to Alaska. Theory complete: whatever, I’m sure they already own us anyways. 😒
In terms of the current Power and Economic Hunger Games, isn’t it just a long-term strategic move to lockdown and halt the movement of Alberta’s oil?

Let it stay in the ground for now. It’s a co-operative strategy of the USA + Canada. Make it look like we’re fighting while consumption drains Saudi and Venezuela first, then sell the Alberta oil at triple and quadruple prices 20+ years from now.
Great article written by my friend Robyn. She gets it, especially the expensive Healthcare system here in Canada. Yes we do pay for our Healthcare. 🤓

“TrustPass” ... more like trespass. But, it could be useful for travellers, as long as we can test from home and use a papaya. 🌴
