A woman did her regular aerobics class out in open without realizing that a coup was taking place in #Myanmar. A Military convoy reaching the parliament can be seen behind the woman as she performs aerobics. Incredible! https://t.co/gRnQkMshDe

Was asked by a Subscriber to give my perspective on Mexico.

From what I know, speaking to a friend originally from Guadalajara, with family still there, here’s what she shared:
• Many parts of Mexico are free from hysteria, masks, restrictions, etc. Major centres are playing the game, but it’s definitely not everywhere.
• El Presidente is very loved by the people (not the news). He’s making lots of moves to get Coca-Cola out of the country, to support local farming practices, to restore villages and how they function as a local economy.
• He doesn’t like the mask, he is following some of the Covid stuff for “show”, but is not “an enforcer”. He regularly speaks out against the covid-status-quo.
• Her family is currently worried for her safety in Canada. From their perspective, Canada looks like a place to leave. (In the 15 years she’s been here, they’ve never said that to her until recently).
• She believes Mexico contains too many separate and distinct small cultures/villages to ever fall prey to new world order policies.
• The population, outside of resort towns, has strong family structures, thus less controllable through government systems.
• Mexico is not dangerous unless you make stupid moves and make it dangerous. It’s far safer than we are told.
• Many villages and towns WELCOME expats from America, Canada, and Europe.
• She is considering buying farm land and setting up a legal path to bring Canadians into Mexico. Providing an exit plan for Canadians to settle in, handle paperwork, and stay in Mexico for the long haul (3-10 years), while Canada plunges into a communist winter. (Interesting option to keep open...)
• The weather also keeps Mexico’s people independent in many ways. Canadians are vulnerable to corrupt government/food systems, in part, because of our weather. (There’s also protection in that too, if you’re fully sovereign. Depends on your perspective).
So yes, this is all anecdotal. But I have spoken with her face-to-face many times throughout Covid. She’s very perceptive, and she offers me insights into Mexico that also align with Jeff Berwick’s experiences.
I have an Aunt and Uncle who moved to a farm there 5 years ago. Will be connecting with them soon to ask more questions. Stay tuned! In
