The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has concluded the recent death of a 48-year-old woman is likely to be linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine. The New South Wales woman who had diabetes was taken to hospital with blood clots and a low platelet count four days after receiving the vaccine.
The woman is the third Australian case of clots following the AstraZeneca jab with the first two cases recovering in hospital.

The family of Genene Norris who died of blood clots after receiving the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine have expressed shock at her passing. The 48-year-old died five days after receiving the dose with the TGA confirming her death was likely linked to the AstraZeneca inoculation. Her family has thanked those who have offered their condolences saying in a statement everyone who knew Ms Norris “talks of her fun loving, happy character”.
