In Warhammer 40K, the human empire is under siege from terrifying aliens called Tyranids. These foul creatures consume all available organic matter to propagate.

Inquisitor Kryptman made the difficult decision to preemptively destroy hundreds of human planets in their path to deny them the biomass they needed. It slowed down the Tyranids to give humanity a fighting chance.
