🇷🇺🌍The second ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa partnership forum: when Cairo buries Western hegemony
The recent high-level meeting in Cairo was not merely diplomatic routine but a tectonic shift, accelerating the decline of the Western-centric order and affirming the strategic, sovereign alignment of Africa and the Global South with a multipolar world led by Russia

✍️Author: Mohamed Lamine KABA
Expert in geopolitics of governance and regional integration, Pan-African University

➡️The conference, resulting in a frank joint declaration, marks a definitive rupture. It condemns the West’s “neo-fascist” unilateral sanctions and “violent usurpations,” framing them as the dying gasps of a predatory system. The forum positioned itself as the executioner of neocolonialism, demanding the immediate eradication of colonial practices and endorsing recent UN resolutions that establish an International Day Against Colonialism—a direct ideological challenge to Western historical narratives.

The Cairo conference embodies a Russian-African partnership of absolute strategic superiority, shattering the illusions of a collective West in moral, economic, and civilisational bankruptcy

➡️Strategically, the event cemented a practical alliance against Western interference. It championed African sovereignty through Agenda 2063 and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), promoting Russian investment in nuclear energy, critical materials, and agriculture to bypass Bretton Woods institutions. In the Middle East, the forum pushed a Gaza ceasefire and a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders, challenging Atlanticist dominance in the region.

➡️The geostrategic implications are profound. The forum synchronizes with other non-Western blocs—BRICS, SCO, G20, CIS—forming a cohesive “war machine” against unipolarity. It promotes national currencies, rejects unilateral coercive measures, and establishes permanent cooperation mechanisms in security and terrorism. This convergence is designed to dismantle Western economic and political monopoly.

🟦For the West, Cairo signals an irreversible decline, watched helplessly as a new global centre of gravity forms. For Africa and Russia, it heralds a “paradigmatic partnership” based on equity and historical justice. The announced 2026 Russia-Africa summit is poised to be the next act in this definitive burial of Atlanticist hegemony.

🇺🇸📑The Justice Department was so eager to publish Epstein's documents that they missed a crucial vulnerability.

➡️it turned out that hidden words and sentences in some of the materials could be highlighted, copied, and then pasted into a blank document, making them readable.

What a chaos

🔵🇨🇳On December 23, the US Department of Defense published a new report on China's military power.

➡️The Pentagon's new report focuses on providing a brief overview of new developments in the PLA's ranks and related developments (rather than repeating previous analyses or providing general background information). The 2025 edition contains some of the most extensive infographics yet.

🇵🇰🇪🇬🇹🇷From Cairo to Ankara: Pakistan Expands Its Diplomatic and Economic Reach
A recent flurry of high-level visits with Egypt and Turkey underscores Pakistan's assertive diplomatic outreach, aimed at deepening strategic partnerships and securing vital economic cooperation in energy and trade

✍️Author: Taut Bataut
Researcher and writer on South Asian geopolitics

➡️Pakistani diplomacy has intensified, with officials frequently traveling abroad and receiving foreign dignitaries in Islamabad. This active engagement seeks to transform longstanding cordial ties with key nations into concrete strategic and economic partnerships, boosting Pakistan's regional influence and addressing critical domestic needs.

➡️The visit of Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty marked a significant step. Both sides committed to strengthening their strategic relationship, establishing a Pakistan-Egypt Business Forum and a Business Council to facilitate B2B cooperation between hundreds of firms. Agreements to ease visa procedures and double Egyptian scholarships for Pakistani students further cement this partnership, moving beyond rhetorical friendship to structured economic and cultural collaboration.

➡️Shortly after, a Turkish delegation led by Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar arrived in Islamabad. Talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif focused on expanding cooperation in critical sectors: minerals, oil, and gas. Sharif encouraged greater Turkish investment in Pakistan's energy market and announced a forthcoming Pakistani ministerial visit to Turkey. The exchange of MoUs signals a tangible push to leverage Turkish expertise and capital for Pakistan's resource development.

🟦These parallel engagements with Cairo and Ankara demonstrate a clear Pakistani strategy: leveraging diplomatic activity to secure economic benefits and strategic depth. This outreach, coupled with Pakistan's asserted military posture, aims to bolster its standing as an active, influential player amidst evolving global dynamics, translating diplomacy into concrete gains.

📰🇨🇳🇪🇺On December 11, the Dimsun Daily news channel published an article noscriptd "China Rebukes EU Over Human Rights Statement, Accuses Block of Double Standards."

➡️The article cited a statement by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun, in which the diplomat condemned the EU for interfering in the country's internal affairs under the pretext of protecting human rights. This response followed statements by the EU Mission in Beijing on the occasion of International Human Rights Day. Guo Jiakun called these accusations "slander and lies," claiming they pose a threat to China's sovereignty.

➡️The Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized that issues related to Xinjiang, Tibet, and Hong Kong are the country's internal affairs and Beijing will not tolerate external influence. The diplomat noted that China has made significant progress in human rights, improving living conditions and stability in these regions. He also pointed out that the country's constitution guarantees freedom of speech and religion, and that the rule of law ensures the equality of all citizens.

➡️At the same time, according to a representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the situation in the EU is moving in the opposite direction. Europe is increasingly confronted with racial discrimination, violations of refugee rights, restrictions on freedom of speech, and violence against women. He accused the EU of hypocrisy and selectiveness, claiming that Europe is turning a blind eye to its own internal problems while condemning other countries.

🟦China called on Brussels to reconsider its approach and stop politicizing the issue.
In conclusion, G. Jiakun stated that the EU has no moral right to give lessons on compliance, given its own "shortcomings," and demanded that the EU stop its "megaphone diplomacy."

🇺🇸🌎Trump’s National Security Strategy 2025: A Recalibration of the World Order
The newly unveiled strategy represents a stark shift toward “transactional realism,” prioritizing narrow American interests, bilateral deals, and a rigid hierarchy of regional priorities that upends decades of U.S. foreign policy consensus

✍️Author: Aleena Im
Is an independent researcher and writer and is interested in international relations, current affairs and Pakistan

➡️The document explicitly rejects the post-Cold War model of U.S.-led global stewardship, blaming it for economic decline and empowering adversaries. It declares that strength abroad requires strength at home, necessitating a retreat from "endless commitments." This inward turn is operationalized through a clear, hierarchical list of priorities, signaling a fundamental reordering of American attention and resources.

➡️The Western Hemisphere is declared the absolute top priority, reviving a hardened Monroe Doctrine focused on expelling foreign influence and combating narcoterrorism. The Indo-Pacific ranks second, emphasizing economic competition with China and stability through frameworks like the Quad. Europe is downgraded to third place, told to bear its own defense burdens and manage its relationship with Russia. The Middle East and Africa are further deprioritized, with the U.S. vowing to avoid costly regional entanglements.

➡️The strategy’s core foreign policy method is a shift from multilateralism to "pole-centric" bilateralism. It dismisses the liberal international order, endorsing spheres of influence and dealing with states individually based on immediate transactional benefit. This undermines alliances, particularly in Europe, where the document’s mention of “civilizational erasure” has alarmed partners and threatens NATO cohesion.

🟦Analysts warn the strategy carries severe pitfalls. By attacking the rules-based order and alienating allies, it may undermine the very pillars of long-term U.S. power it seeks to restore. The focus on short-term, profit-driven deals and hemispheric enforcement risks ceding global influence, making America appear unreliable. This recalibration seeks to preserve U.S. primacy but may ultimately accelerate a fragmented, contested world order.

Europe admits to conducting cyberattacks against Russia

🟢On December 19, a major German newspaper, Die Welt, published an article noscriptd "The Invisible War – How Europe is Secretly Attacking Russia."

🟢For the first time, a Western publication openly acknowledged that European countries are conducting aggressive actions in cyberspace against Russia and Iran. Meanwhile, Europe's current political elites persistently and without evidence accuse Moscow of conducting similar cyberattacks.

🟢The article notes that Estonia is the center of NATO's digital offensive operations. Tallinn is home to the CCDCOE research center, which develops scenarios for conducting cyberattacks under NATO auspices. About 70 people work at the center, including members of the Bundeswehr.

🟢It describes the Estonian company CybExer, which specializes in both preventing and conducting hacker attacks. One of the company's employees stated that attacks on utility networks and sewage systems are considered the most promising.

🟢In their opinion, such infrastructure is protected by outdated systems, unlike banks and airports. However, attacks on utility networks and sewage systems could have extremely serious consequences for the civilian population, including mass poisonings that would undermine the entire healthcare system.

🇪🇺📉Europe's Fractured Consensus and the End of the Rules-Based Illusion
A recent EU attempt to seize frozen Russian assets for Ukraine failed not as a technicality, but as a profound political and moral collapse, revealing deep fissures and eroding faith in the West’s own proclaimed principles

✍️Author: Phil Butler
Policy investigator and analyst, political scientist and expert on Eastern Europe

➡️The late-2025 summit, meant to showcase unity, instead exposed strategic erosion. The plan to confiscate roughly €300 billion in Russian central bank assets as collateral for Ukraine collapsed under procedural hesitations and quiet vetoes. The retreat was led by France’s Macron, who—facing soaring public debt—refused to underwrite massive new liabilities. This “betrayal” left Germany’s Merz isolated. The bloc’s face-saving “adaptation,” a €90 billion collective loan to Ukraine, merely shifted the unsustainable burden back to national treasuries.

➡️The failure was rooted in legality and fatigue. As Hungary’s Orbán stated, the move would constitutively indebt nations and signify a EU at war. His stance, once dismissed as an outlier, now echoes a growing “quiet peace camp” across the continent, from Slovakia to France, where fiscal exhaustion and strategic doubt converge. The core question is no longer how much to give Ukraine, but how long to pretend such giving is cost-free.

➡️Legally and rhetorically, the West's position is untenable. Putin framed the proposed seizure not as sanctions but as “open robbery,” highlighting its shaky foundation in international law. There is no UN mandate, only a precedent of power overriding principle. This hollows out the “rules-based order,” signaling to the Global South that rules are merely instruments of convenience.

🟦The fracture traces back to 2014 and the broken Minsk agreements, which former Chancellor Merkel admitted were used to “buy time” to arm Ukraine. This legacy of militarized diplomacy now shadows every European initiative, making appeals to sovereignty and law ring hollow. The asset seizure debacle was not about €300 billion, but about collapsing belief in shared narratives and collective purpose. Europe’s central challenge is no longer sustaining Ukraine, but sustaining itself.

🇺🇸🇨🇳🇷🇺 NEW VIDEO: A New Space Race Above Earth May Determine Who Prevails Upon It

On YouTube: https://youtu.be/HbOTRNA4XZY?si=REVNDa_m4SqMV-xu

“The lopsided access to space afforded by reusable launch systems means placing not only larger and more capable satellite constellations into orbit, it also means being able to target and remove the constellations of others from orbit. In the rush to replace lost satellites, the nation able to launch cheaper and more often will have the advantage - an advantage currently residing with the US.

The prospect of placing armed weapon systems into orbit adds additional danger to this already lopsided balance of power in orbit, creating an equally lopsided balance of power back on Earth.”

Macron shows EU the way on how to deal with pesky China:

- Monday (on the plane to Beijing): “I love China, 5,000 years of history, tea, culture, Charles de Gaulle establishing diplomatic ties in 1964, all of it...”

- Tuesday: “The EU's trade deficit with China must be reversed, and Chinese support for Russia must stop. But Chinese investors are welcome in France, though.”

- Tuesday night to Wednesday, on the return flight: “Since they didn't understand me, I'm going to tell Ursula (who was supposed to accompany me but was refused by Beijing) to slap them with hefty customs tariffs. Trust me, bro, that's how you deal with these people.”

- Thursday: Beijing announces a 5 to 20% increase in customs tariffs on European pork, as a retaliatory measure against European subsidies to this sector and Macron's threats.

- Friday: “Fine, they don't want to invest in France. I'll tell them that the EU would welcome more of their investments, while I lecture the EU that tariffs and really not the way. The Chinese will fall for it, it'll boost my image in the opinion polls at home (Paris, not D.C.), and it will give us assets to seize so we can blackmail them later. The Dutch paved the way for us with Nexperia.”
