Telegram is currently waiting for iOS app store approval. Features are ready, but they need to make them available simultaneously (because otherwise a lot of people we'll be seeing this "unavailable" message - all gifs are auto converted to mp4), and the app store approval is the slowest one.

Telegram to roll out Inline Bots. Payment coming soon?

As Telegram's bot platform becomes increasingly important for the young messenger network, Telegram now takes it one step further: Users can now interact with bots even if they are not part of an existing chat (including group chats). Is this already part of Telegram's upcoming payment platform?

Telegram payments are currently being tested in Russia.

Monetizing bots and eventually the platform itself could possibly be achieved through payments handled through Telegram. However, handling payments requires a cooperation with a bank at some point.

In Russia, where payments are currently being tested, the local online bank Tinkoff is bringing mobile payments to Telegram users through its @MoneyTalkBot.

However, it is currently unclear when and if international payments will be available to all Telegram users.

European Court rules bosses can monitor employees' private messages on WhatsApp and other messaging services

According to the court, it’s “not unreasonable that an employer would want to verify that employees were completing their professional tasks during working hours”. The judge dismissed the employee’s right to privacy on his messenger and ruled that what he sent could be monitored by his boss.

Use work equipment and accounts to send non-work related messages, like the fired Romanian employee.

➡️ What you can do:
Carry on using your own private accounts. Thankfully law from the European Court of Human Rights isn’t completely enforced over here, it just has to be taken into account.
