Telegram Desktop on Windows 10 supports Native Windows Notifications (which are displayed in the notification center of Windows). Those kind of notification are generated by Telegram Desktop, but are managed by Windows.

Sometimes, these notification may appear in the notification center even if read, and will disappear only if manually deleted. This will happen because those notifications will be "unlinked" from Telegram Desktop (Telegram Desktop won't be able to delete them)

This seems a Windows 10 bug, so, at, the moment, nothing can be done to avoid it.

Iranian Government is blocking Telegram.

The all-new 0.9.7 dev version is available for you to download, it includes some new features and some important improvements.

The main feature of this release is the monospace markdown formatting: simply place your text in single ` marks for inline monospace code fragment or in tripple for a whole code block. Of course no text or emoji replaces in monospace text parts — and space collapsing no more:

This version was built upon the new Qt library version, 5.5.1, so we can run into some strange bugs or unexpected behaviour, but I hope everything will be great!

1. You are confusing public channels with private and group chats.
2. "responded by saying that its channels are the private territory..." - private/group chats, not channels.
3. "mocking calls that ISIS channels on Telegram be removed", these were NOT the calls I mocked.
4. "is such a surprising reversal of course" - no such reversal as previous comments were about PRIVATE chats.
5. "Telegram was made generally available in the fall of this year" It's available since 2013. Proofread!

Translation: "Telegram, terrorist's app."

Daesh terrorists also uses Toyota cars and Casio watches. Why don't we see that on media?
