For those who wants to flash Pixel Launcher addon on Android 12L

New Stable Release is up! (SL, S, R, Q) (13th April 2022)

Changelog:
- Android 12.1 (12L) release
- Many addon.d fixes (faster ota update and fixes)
- Fixed Pixel Launcher and Setup Wizard for android 12.1 release
- Fixed an issue which requires formatting /data partition to boot
- use addon_version = 3 (dropping v2 support)
- Fixed Aosp apps not being deleted for some users
- Dropped Vanced and Adaway support as those are non-gapps
- Enforce Android Auto to be clean flashed only to avoid unnecessary issues
- Add Google Talkback addon (for those who wants to include them in custom builds)
- Script improvements
- nikgapps config version updated to v21

Note:
- Clean flash recommended if coming from android 12
- Dirty flashing is fine if you are on canary 12.1 release (however, you don't really need to dirty flash unless you want to consume any fix mentioned in the changelog)

- Since we've removed the support of some of the addons, if you use nikgapps.config v20 to build your custom gapps, you may not find those built as part of your packages, update your config to v21.

If you come across any issue or you have any feature request, I suggest you add it on github (here). It is really very simple and it will help us track the underlying issues and feature requests.

For those who wish to upgrade to LineageOs 20 from LineageOs 19.1 without losing data (or upgrade android version for any rom in general)

Follow these instructions from NikGapps perspective for upgrading the google apps.

Goes without saying, this is applicable only when Rom is capable of upgrading without clean flash.

For those of you who are not able to find latest NikGapps builds on Sourceforge.net, the builds are on the server but inaccessible at the moment, so I suggest you to wait until Sourceforge.net fixes it. If there is no acknowledgement of any kind of action from Sourceforge.net by end of the day, I will re-upload the files.

Meanwhile, you can request for specific builds in @NikGappsGroup group, we'll try our best to provide the builds.

Also, until the issue is resolved, I will pause the ability to create new custom builds - not useful if you won't get the working download links.

Everyone!
As you know we haven't had a release in a LONG time. It was because we were working on bringing in bigger changes. Now that we've reached to a state where we can do a phased roll out of the changes, it's time we start with the first change i.e. Custom/User Builds.

The custom builds you have been creating now comes with its progress and tracking. It means, now you can know when your (user) build is being built.
Not only this, the post with progress also comes with a download link so you can just click on the button and head over to download page rather than searching your build on Sourceforge.net for hours!

Among many other changes, this is the first change and the rest will follow as they make it to the stable branch.

Head over to @NikGappsGroup to find your henceforth requested custom build under User Builds topic.

P.S. The Google apks and overlays are updated for android 13 and will be part of your next custom build. They will make it to the stable release soon but you can take advantage of them right now by creating new custom build.

For those who are facing crash on Pixel Launcher, crdroid team has fixed it in source and you should be able to operate Pixel Launcher starting next build of crdroid.
It's already working on LOS, for other Roms, ask your rom developer to refer to this commit and incorporate it in Rom Source.

New Stable Update Release - 18th Feb (Android 10-13)

- Remove Notepad with installation of Google Keep
- Remove Launcher3Quickstep with installation of Pixel Launcher (it won't be there to cause crashes)
- Fix Setup Wizard Crash on Voltage OS
- Ability to recognize the instruction by name (such as uninstall.zip) during sideloading the zip
- Add more validations to avoid failures in the config releases
- Add the ability to remove conflicting overlays just as we remove aosp apps
- Fix the broken 'find' function while searching for existing folders apps
- Rename the addonlog file to include date in it
- Removed Pixel Setup Wizard and Flipendo as addons (while we work on fixing it)
- Config version bump up to v25

New Stable Update Release - 9th Mar 2023 (Android 10-13)

- Fixed the select text issue with Pixel Launcher
- Fixed Live Captions (ability to download languages and detect captions)
- Fixed At a Glance widget not showing up weather in Pixel Launcher
- Fixed the issue where dirty flashing ran into storage space issue
- Enabled call recording with google dialer from gapps end (still require server support)
- Reordered the addon.d noscripts to execute core apps first (some of the noscripts will start with 5, 9 and 10)
- Redefined the variants (omni, stock, full, go) check the website for their definition in here
- Added SettingsServices and PrivateComputeServices to PixelLauncher (android 12/12.1/13)
- Bump the config version to 26

Note:
- You need to clean flash to get the features working!
- The variants are updated, check the website for their updated definitions
- You can still create custom builds if your ideal package differs from the predefined ones.

For those facing issues with NikGapps on QPR2 (march security updates) - I suggest you try flashing the latest canary release (31st March) which includes the fixes we need from Gapps end.

- Fixed the config detection - those who did not see their config changes reflecting in the last build, please try again
- Fixed the 2nd app in order failing to install when the 1st app was uninstalled
- Fixed the issues with dirty flashing NikGapps resulting into skipping some apps, should almost never skip installing app upon dirty flashing NikGapps.
- Fixed the issue where DocumentsUI was added to the GoogleFiles package when it is not supported (Android 10)
