In your opinion, whats the best 28-70 (or similar) F2.8 lens for the F mount with an aperture ring ?
Hey all !
I've owned the AFD 80-200mm 2.8 for a while and just acquired the AFS 17-35mm 2.8. I absolutely love these lenses with my F4 and FM2.
Now I want to bridge the gap between these two lenses and get something around the 24\~80mm ish focal length with a constant 2.8 aperture. Also an important requirement is that the lens needs to have an aperture ring, so no G lens and it must have auto focus.
I found different models: namely the Nikon AFS 28-70mm 2.8, Tokina 28-70mm 2.8, some Sigma lenses, ...
I want to know which lens you guys would recommend ? I would tend to go for the Nikon AFS lens but I'm a bit worried about the internal motor's reliability.

Went for walk with my 7$ lens. None the shots are incredible but I just wanted to have fun outside.

Upgrading from D3300 to Z 30?
Right now I have the D3300 which I use almost always with the lens AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G.
I was thinking of upgrading, I was looking at buying the Z 30 and then buy either the NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S, or the cheaper NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2.
My question is, is it worth it?
Will I see a noticeable improvement of photo quality between the two setups, or is it not worth the additional money and I should wait to invest in something better?
I'm attracted to the Z 30 because I'd like a small and light camera to go hiking, but are the photos going to be better compared to my D3300 ?
I will use the camera only for photos. I know the V30 is marketed for vloggers, so I'm afraid I'd be paying for features I'm not going to use.
I think I'm ok with the lack of EVF, I'm not sure I'd be using it at all if a new mirrorless camera has a good screen, unlike in my D3300 where I always use the optical viewfinder.
Any advice much appreciated, thanks!
