Which is your fixed lens light weight travel camera other than Smartphone?
Though most of us may have fully loaded cameras, some times we prefer to have a light weight fixed lens camera for travel and quick snap. Which is yours?

PSA: Change your import settings in Lightroom when importing RAW files from a Z8 (other models as well possibly)
I’ve recently made a post about noise issues with Z8 files during post processing in Lightroom.
I’ve solved most of it with import settings in Lightroom Classic!
When you go to preferences, then presets, if i recall correctly, there are settings where you can change the global import preset from Adobe Standard to something like ”Camera Settings”. Furthermore there is a checkbox to “override global setting for specific camera”, then you can select the camera from a drop down and also specify “Camera Settings” there. DO THIS!!!
This is NOT THE SAME as changing the color profile to match camera settings in the develop section AFTER importing files!
When you push shadows to expose dark areas in images, using the default import settings has produced absolutely horrible noise in my Z8 files. Changing the above settings has completely fixed this.
I came from a D850 and thought the quality of the Z8 files was a disaster because of the above issue!
I wonder how many Z8 owners here don’t know about this problem…

Snapbridge - issues and improvements?
Full-time QA Engineer here 🙋🏻, passionate about photography, for a few months now as a side hustle (check it out on IG: mi_st.photography). 🙂📸
Since Nikon is constantly updating their camera firmware, I’m curious whether they’ll do the same for this app.
I’ve been testing it for a few days with my first camera, and a few things feel frustrating from a user’s perspective:
1. Camera preview rotation - I can’t rotate the camera preview on my smartphone when switching the camera to portrait mode. The phone stays in portrait, the viewport stays landscape, and the preview ends up rotated. When I rotate my phone, it rotates even further - so I can’t catch up 🫣😂
2. Shutter button size - There’s no way to customize or enlarge the shutter button. It’s quite small and very close to my Home button, so a few times I accidentally exited the app. Which leads to issue #3.
3. Connection loss - Once I leave the app, the connection is lost. I then have to go back to the camera and re-establish the Wi-Fi AP connection. I haven’t explored this fully yet, so it might be a setting-related issue - but it feels like it isn’t.
Do you guys find some issues or features that you'd like to see? 🤔
