Everything else at our own venue is unaffected and will not require testing or a vaccine passport and the usual conditions outlined in the road map still apply."

Hot Water Comedy have been in touch and this is our reply to them: Thanks very much for getting in touch. Yes we note your position that on the 16th of April you will be opening up to an event where customers will be expected to undertake testing before and after the event.
If a customer refuses to partake of a test will they then be prevented from entering the venue if so this is could be construed as a forced medical procedure through co-ercion which could violate their human rights and go against the Nuremberg Code?
Are you aware of the high inaccuracy levels of PCR Testing as well as Lateral Flow testing? If so which form of testing will it be on the evening and who will be undertaking it?
What happens if someone tests positive before entering are they then excluded from coming into the venue despite that fact it could be a false positive as per the ONS below between 0.8 & 4.3% of positive tests?

If people do test positive at your event have you confirmed with the testing authorities what will happen to your venue for example if your staff members become infected or if it does happen on that night that you as a venue might be held responsible for it?

As with many aspects of the last year once it is done it sets a precedent and will be rolled out elsewhere. We imagine you have done this out of good intentions but ultimately from our perspective we are completely opposed to any mandatory testing to partake of social events in the UK and question as to whether you have thought through the full ramifications of signing up to this.

Paul Blair, co-owner of the Hot Water Comedy Club in Liverpool which is due to host the very first event, said his club faced the "worst negative press we've ever had" when it was wrongly reported certification would be used at his event.
He told the BBC that one person sent a message saying they hoped the owners would "catch Covid and die", while several messages seemingly organised by a conspiracy theorist group accused the club of practising "medical apartheid".

I totally understand you feel you are between a rock and a hard place but I would implore you to rethink your decision. As you intimated the tests will be done days before then days after the event. People could easily then catch Covid19 in another environment outwith your venue and then of course this event would be blamed on you so it could in fact be counter-productive to what you are trying to achieve.
Either way it sets a frightening precedent that the Government can mass test people before going out to an event, why would this stop with Covid19 tests? What if they wanted to start mandatory H.I.V/ T.B/ Malaria tests?

Hi everyone. David Clews had a good conversation with Paul from the hot water club in Liverpool. We are hopeful he will come on the show one night. They are the equivalent of the entertainment on the night and the issue is with the ACC Liverpool who is facilitating this. We will update you all in due course but the Comedy Club have been a victim of fake news and also government spin.
However moving forward any entertainment companies or individuals who are prepared to play or perform at medical apartheid venues will be informed they are in the wrong.
