Last month we ran into some confusion with Radclyffes about our actual capacity, which meant we were operating 20 to 40 people under what we could safely allow. Combined with the promo we did, that ended up causing the long line and wait times in November.
For clarity: our capacity is 80 indoors and 80 on the back patio.
The owner is currently looking into the permits needed to open the back gates and extend the patio into the parking lot. We don’t have confirmation yet, but we’ll share any updates here as soon as we have them.
This is the last Roar of the year, and we'll be taking a short hiatus as the new year rolls in, however we'll be back and ready to rock in FEBRUARY

Meetup will be Sunday December 28th, *WEATHER PERMITTING*, 11am at the trains area of Tilden Park in Oakland/Berkeley, then 1pm at the Merry-go-round. There is a 10-minute drive between the two, so carpooling is encouraged! Rides for each are around $4.
The botanical garden is between them, closer to the merry-go-round, but costs around $18 to enter.
The train and merry-go-round are fursuit friendly!
Rough plan: People can ride the trains (big - $4, small - free but donations encouraged), maybe get group photos. Then, people can meet up at the merry-go-round. There are hangout spaces, holiday props for photos, likely kids to interact with in fursuit, and some basic food for sale. Last time, we had a casual potluck of snacks and soft drinks there.
Any minors please bring your own chaperone, we are mostly adults but don't want to be responsible for anyone else's kids/teens.
I imagine this will end around 4pm. The merry-go-round closes at 5:30, and it'll be pretty dark by then but it is pretty when lit up.
