You reopen the gyms, because this is the military and you're not a moron, you tell your troops to stop masking on the flightline in 110 degree weather because that's dangerous and you don't want them to die, and you remove the barbwire around the containment areas because your troops aren't POWs.

You're told "you have to stop asking questions about COVID because you're coming across as being political."

What do you get for it? You lose your promotion. When a board under the current administration reviews all of the allegations against you, they unanimously overturn everything, and the same people who tried to bury you in the first place (because they haven't been fired and continue to dictate pentagon policy) disregard the board findings and force you to retire.

Congratulations, you're a senior leader in the military who has common sense. Next time keep your mouth shut and keep rowing. We don't want thinkers.
