Here is a quick and concerning update regarding this:

Since the delivery of the unit to Hernan, there has been minimal progress towards its development or setup for AOSPA. Despite several months passing, the device has remained untouched due to reasons ranging from personal commitments to a lack of interest in working on the project.

In response to several inquiries from concerned community members who contributed to the initiative, I made my best efforts to get in touch with him and have the unit transferred to an active developer. Despite these efforts, Hernan has continuously delayed the process without outright refusing to return the unit. This has understandably led to disappointment and frustration within the community (specially amongst those who knew the matter and guessed it right).

Hernan's statements regarding the issue are as follows:

"I asked one of LOS directors, maybe someone wouldn’t mind at all, but the issue for them is community can be kinda annoying."

"I have way better chances of getting it into India without paying that ocd can have ever. Also because of how the unit is, if there is a good EU developer to work on device I would prefer that. Band issue will be a thing, and I would like whoever spend his time on the unit uses it as daily driver so he keeps it being up to date" (In response to the proposal that he can ship the unit to Fabian from whom OCD can bring it back to India, followed by sending it to the dev who wants to work on it)

"And getting it to India isn’t a issue, I have ton of people I know travel there every two weeks or so"

"I do believe getting it to someone who has to do more work is better on the long run."

"I have my DMs full of people trying to get the device for free"

"While I believe it’s no comparable, I believe person that donated 60% of it is actually more ennoscriptd than people that didn’t even contribute at all. At the end he is happy already as PA is already out so he doesn’t care what happens to the device."

I must also let everyone know that @aswin_a_s had expressed his interest to work on the unit and even offered to pay the shipping costs for the same. But he was not given a response by Hernan.

On behalf of the community I extend my sincere thanks to Jake from the AOSPA team, who generously donated a unit from his own funds to compensate for the community's expectations. The AOSPA bring-up efforts have continued thanks to the dedication of Kunmun and Omkar (OCD), who have worked together on the project.

As a moderator and organizer of this initiative, alongside Ironhrt, I feel compelled to inform the contributors and the wider community about the current situation with the CF unit entrusted to Hernan. It has become exhausting to respond to messages and inquiries regarding the whereabouts of the unit.

While hernan does have irl commitments, it is expected from him to graciously accept his inability to continue and pass on to someone else decided by the community rather than himself decide whom he'll give the unit to as the next maintainer should be decided by the community. It is indeed disappointing to see hernan reluctant to part with the device which was bought by contributions from community members.

I urge him to cooperate and expedite the process of transferring the unit to Aswin / any interested dev from the LOS team / a dev who wants to work on it actively with a good track record. Transparency and accountability are essential in community-driven initiatives like these, and I hope that Hernan will act in the best interest of the Pong community.

AOSP: Yet again failed to justify User control?

After recent controversies over Project elixir, we wanna clarify that we do not support such acts as it endangers User data and also is immoral and unethical, but neither do we encourage users to do piracy, piracy is a complete and strict violation of any group rules and therefore it all teaches that no matter what group accepts it, the question always remain how piracy can even bring harms... (Malware? Some malicious code? ). We strictly Urge Users for such reasons to avoid doing piracy.

Also exercise restrain and full awareness before you try ROMs like Project elixir, we neither discourage or encourage from trying it. But we only consider that you as users keep the power with your knowledge and awareness before flashing ROMs like these.
