As a counter measure to the recent #SCOTUS decision of New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn. v. Bruen, #MARYLAND is now trying to introduce a law to "reduce gun violence."

Today, Montgomery County Council President Gabe Albornoz will introduce Expedited Bill 21-22, which will prohibit the possession of firearms in or near places of public assemblies within 100 yards.

A public hearing is scheduled to take place on July 26.

Let’s look at the definition of a “Public Assembly”.

Place of public assembly or "assembly hall" shall mean a building or portion of a building used for the gathering together of 50 or more persons for such purposes as deliberation, education, instruction, worship, entertainment, amusement, drinking, or dining or waiting transportation.”

How many residences are there that DONT live within 100 yards of a Public Assembly by this definition????
