Italian Cab Drivers Protest Mobile Taxi Applications
Five drivers reportedly chained themselves to the government palace’s fence and smoke bombs can be seen burning in the crowd.
The cab operators are protesting against pending amendments to law which would allow for online apps to expand the Italian taxi market.
They fear such legislation would bring corporations to the market which would harm small carriers.

They argue that under the terms of the agreement, Musk was free to tweet “so long as such Tweets do not disparage the Company or any of its Representatives.” Now, however, they say that “since signing the merger agreement, Musk has repeatedly disparaged Twitter and the deal, creating business risk for Twitter and downward pressure on its share price.”
