Ending tonight's broadcast with my favorite protest chant. Because I never get to sleep at night because I'm always up listening to scanners.

"I WILL NEVER SLEEP BECAUSE OF YOU. YOU WILL NEVER SLEEP BECAUSE OF ME"

We keep protesting every day til PPD is abolished. Til everyone is housed. Til everyone has equity. We wont stand for being the poorest big city in wages in the country while being one of the biggest markets. We wont stand for any more injustice. If Pennsylvania will invade Philadelphia with its paramilitary, Philadelphia may start looking to leave Pennsylvania and form our own state if we have to. We wont let governments bully us. All options are on the table when they kill several people in a month. We must be creative in how we prevent future oppression. Pennsylvania's atititudes on policing and oppression do not match Philadelphian's experiences with it. Tom Wolf, call off your military #forward

JAIL SUPPORT IS STILL NEEDED!

Schedule for supporters to come in shifts is as follows until all comrades are released!
6am-10am
10am-2pm
2pm-6pm
6pm-10pm
10pm-2am

Please pick a shift time to commit to and try to stay for all or most of the time..coordinate here or with comrades individually to come for the next shift. Try to take breaks and come for multiple shifts if possible. If you can drop off food, snacks, water, chairs, blankets, etc., please message and coordinate with people on the ground

The districts that I know that need bodies are 1st (24th and wolf), roundhouse, and now 18th district (55th and pine). As of now people are needed. (Will be updated as day progresses)

(I have heard no word from or about 21st and hamilton, if you
Know a comrade doing JS there please add them here. )

When someone is released with a subpoena or citation, have them call or text up against the law with their name and that they're released who will make sure they're accounted for in the legal battle to follow. Philly bail out is the contact if bail was set and person needs support with bail.

What is jail support: when comrades are released after being arrested and held, they need comrades outside asking if they need support with food, snacks, rides home, a phone to call home, info for who is coordinating legal info. This is organizing and revolutionary work to make sure comrades are accounted for, not alone, and to show that we show up for community when police terrorize.

How to ask someone if they need support: person or people come out, ask them if they've just been released and want food/snacks/water. 🚨Their legal info is privileged info please consider their privacy 🚨, but tell them up against the law is there to help with citations, and philly bail out with bail support, and give them the numbers. Up against the law needs their name and DOB to cross off their list, they are lawyers and treat info as confident.

PLEASE READ: Phone safety.
as much as possible we need to ensure safe digital communication. Peer pressure everyone in your network to set up a few protocols to stay safe from infiltration and attack.
One way the feds and law enforcement get information is to look at who knows who and is in what networks. This is done through contacts and tracking messages. Many people are using Signal, which is good for End to End encryption, but the security within large signal chats is not good.
There are two ways to look at secure chatting- worrying about snooping from the outside, or worrying about leaks from the inside. If the inside is insecure, it does not matter if you have all the encryption protocols because someone inside your "secure" group chat is leaking information. Therefore always follow the simple guideline of
DO NOT ORGANIZE ON DIGITAL PLATFORMS. Meet in person (following safe COVID guidelines). Don't get into Signal chats with people you don't know in real life.
Please take time TODAY to read these pieces on how to keep your digital space more secure:
1. Lock your SIM card. You will have to look up your particular model of phone to see how to do this, but it stops others from copying your SIM and all it's info (if you have an eSIM it is not possible to lock, but it is harder to copy info)
2. Secure Signal by following these steps: https://theintercept.com/2017/05/01/cybersecurity-for-the-people-how-to-keep-your-chats-truly-private-with-signal/

🔒Encrypted:🔒 Signal, Wire, WhatsApp*, iMessage***

Not encrypted : Telegram**, text messages, Discord, twitter DMs, Instagram DMs, Facebook DMs, Slack

*Same encryption as Signal, but complies with Subpoenas
** Even "secret chats" aren't securely encrypted. Their method was cracked

#scout Pattison Staging Update: full of 300 to 500 civilian cars, the lot probably 60 percent full. Along the west side, about 15 PAL vans. A handful of squad cars and PPL vans in the middle, but not many. No sheriff buses. The OEM trailer, the box truck, and a tented pavilion in the back with about 20 blue shirts milling around. Five PAL vans leave headed westbound on Pattison toward 26th about 2hr ago.

Seems like today Pattison is a pig distribution area, where police park in their personal cars and get sent off to where they're needed in buses/vans. #forward
A lot of folks are still new to security culture. It's ok. As long as folks understand why people need to use security culture to protect themselves. Everything and everyone in Philly is being watched by police and federal agencies. Either police the past few weeks have a dirtbox in the air, have a stingray at the cell towers, or they are following you with wifi security cameras with api tokens linked to safe cam and clearview. They are reading every text, they are watching your location if you are near unrest and following you as you move across the city with information they gather with these devices and surveillance techniques. That's why we black bloc. That's why we remove our phone batteries when we arent communicating. Thats why we use signal to talk with friends and family now. That's why we are cautious of what details we tell people. I'm adjusting to some new parts of security culture still. But we all gotta be open to learning counter surveillance culture so we can counter these advanced in surveillance tech deployment in Philly and nationwide #forward

I cant wait to see the day that septa police budget is fully cut and they are abolished and we have more money to fund new station projects.

I cant wait to see the bus drivers and infrastructure workers get raises when the union busting septa police are abolished.
Teachers and workers in Philadelphia School District can see an average wage increase of $1720 per year if we cut the School Districts Police Budget. Incarcerating our children is violence in our schools. #forward
If retail stores cut their asset protection departments, retail workers could be paid much higher. Asset protection teams receive the highest pay outside of store management. Your wages are hurt by these union busting asset protectors. #forward
Expect large amounts of police between 52 and Baltimore and 52 and Parkside all day and week. Expect to see national guard in the city at some point. We have 4 paramilitaries in Philadelphia operating this week. Expect most to be wearing police or guard uniforms and possibly a handful of far right vigilantes. 9 pm curfew tonight. What do we think of curfews? they are 🐂 💩

For those confused about why we mentioned telegram being unsecure. Its secure for texting folks you dont know as a username is less traceable than a phone number. I can find anyone from a phone number. It's great for non sensitive content and better than signals for big group chats. Durov also avoids punishing social movements on telegram which is nice compared to other social media. But Telegram is not perfect and lying to say that it is does not protect users and only puts people at risk for what they dont know. I have work experiences that have privileged me to certain information about these programs but most of the information is public. I know what types of tools and practices they use to watch people. Philly is a testing ground for FBI surveillance technology. It was our retailers testing clearview and other facial recognition software before other cities got access to it. Telegram can be traced through a dirtbox or stingray device to find your device and follow your location if it's on and not stored in a bag or having the battery out. They can use the philly safecam program to follow you from a remote location with security cameras and identify you before you are detained. Surveillance in 2020 America is much more advanced than surveillance was when Snowden whistleblew and you can learn about all of these programs and tech with quick google searches #forward
Philly has a server with every traffic camera and every wifi security camera that users willingly gave police the api token to their database. It's the safecam program. Every block and every corner is on camera. Every house with a ring doorbell that has the token sent to police. They can follow folks with these cameras. Some buildings have ptz cameras installed and police can move them to follow you while you are going around the city. That is why bloc and other security culture is important to learn. It's not to scare you. Most people aren't grounded in the realities of surveillance in my city today. #forward
