Friends! The Mayor's office wants to get feed back from YOU about the budget! Be warned thought- you have to write in PILOTs and ending the abatement and they make you choose between cutting spending OR Raising taxes, and the taxes they propose to raise are all individual taxes, not Corporate or PILOTs. You can however defund the police in this budget game. I recommend making ample use of the comments boxes.

Philly is currently negotiating with out own "union" (which is actually a Fraternal Order because the AFL wouldn't let them be a Union at first but that's another rant) so it's important to know what we're up against. Here's one groups attempt to explain what police unions do and how it's harmful to our community. Nothing in here will surprise any of our followers, but it's the kind of synthesis that lays it out for your Aunt Marge who doesn't understand why you hate the police so much. https://policeunionplaybook.org/#theplaybook
Police Union's Playbook
Police unions — organizations that represent police officers — are one of the most powerful forces standing in the way of efforts to hold police accountable for violence and misconduct, and to transform the criminal justice system.
