Evictions (new ones at least) stayed through June 30. Administrative Order In Re: Residential Eviction Moratorium and Exceptions. Service of Writs and Alias Writs of Possession https://t.co/Kwm3vpribA
This thread from Helen Gym explains the new order which is NOT as good as a full blown moratorium, so if you are facing an eviction pay attention because it's more complicated. You now must go through a diversion program. https://twitter.com/HelenGymPHL/status/1377586093021859843?s=19
The PATCO Encampment goes on another day, but the need for solidarity isn’t over yet! City officials told people #OTG yesterday they plan to return Monday, so the community will too! This time tabling food and donations. Message the tip line @PhillyEvictionTipBot if you need help getting involved with this or upcoming regular distribution, and we can point you in the right direction.
Chatter around April 11 seems to be heating up. Whether this will be a fizzle and not an event worth worrying about at all or another fake event meant to fracture the anti-fascists again, it seems the Nazis plan to be in Philly on the 11th

Anti-fascists showed them what solidarity meant and intimidated them in Clark Park with good times and good vibes last summer; Anti Fascists and wheelie kids ran them out of center city in 2017 with some signature Philly chaos, and Philly can absolutely show them the way out of town on the 11th. Philly isn't for fascists. Talk to your friends, make a plan, stay safe.

And make sure it's the kind of plan where if they chicken out again you can have a nice outing with your good buds, just so you don't waste your time.

Good morning to everyone but Jackson Bradley of NJEHA and Alex Gross of NBC Sports, both actual Nazis! Thanks to the good folks at https://phlanticap.noblogs.org/ for their comprehensive research!

From Councilmember Helen Gym

TOMORROW at 1pm hearing on the establishment of an independent Youth Ombudsperson to investigate concerns about safety or services for Philadelphia’s young people sent to juvenile detention and residential institutions.

Each year, thousands of young people are committed to residential facilities, either through the child welfare or juvenile justice systems. Minimally regulated and lacking state oversight, too many of these facilities have been in the news for harming and traumatizing youth in their care. We saw it at Wordsworth, at Glen Mills, at Devereux and we’re seeing it again at the Delaware County Juvenile Detention Center.

The city’s Youth Residential Placement Task Force recommended the creation of a Youth Ombudsperson Office to receive and investigate concerns from youth and families about the safety and services of these facilities that house young people.

April 8 at 1pm. You can watch live on Council’s website, or on Xfinity channel 64 or Fios channel 40.
Another terrible idea from the ex Governor
Last year Philly Police shot civilians at a rate 4 times higher than the gun violence from civilians.

34 Police Shootings from 6000 officers is 4 times more frequent than 2200 shootings from 1579000 Residents. End the violence from police.
