This is how the city treats its most vulnerable residents. Shameful. If you’ve been thinking of heading down to offer support, folks there would still appreciate it.
#OTG Traffic on 12th has resumed. The barricades were removed after all residents had been chased away or forced into shelter scenarios. A crowd of supporters still lingering and informing passerbys of what is happening.
#OTG Most residents and supporters gone now. OHS and two cops have locked themselves in the Jefferson Station entrance on Filbert with the last remaining resident. A small crowd of supporters remains to check in with her when they finish.
#OTG Police have left the scene after one last van was temporarily blocked by remaining protestors in a show of solidarity with the houseless who were just evicted. Cops put hands on protestors to take them out of the street and drove off.
Do you have donations for your houseless neighbors, including some who were evicted from Reading Terminal today? Today at 7PM at the above ground subway entrance near 13th and Locust people will be collecting donations for residents at the PATCO and others who are houseless in Center City.

Hello Philadelphia! With the public calls for actions tonight, we are opening up the Jail Support channel once again. Please contact us directly and follow this channel for updates on needs for when we receive info if/when there are any arrests. Also please check out our pinned posts for some jail support 101 facts that you can disseminate or use yourself if you’re new!

If you do go out, make sure you:
1.) read @upagainstthelaw’s posts on their IG (same account name) about the PPD’s attempt to recruit RCOs and community members to help oppress uprisings. Please, if you go out tonight or any night, be aware of this bc folks are being encouraged to straight up citizen’s arrest folks and being plucked into some racist’s Saab is scary as shit.

2.)Have your trusted people know where you are/your location (whatever safety precautions work best for you).

3.) Have a safety plan for you and yours that includes things like medics, safe houses/porches you can use for sanctuary, water distro, etc.

4.) You have these numbers on your body so in case of your arrest you will have legal aid. Jail support is dependent on knowing where comrades are being held. If a loved one has been detained due to protesting call this number for legal aid.
