“So basically we like, down here we came to live and be a community for the simple fact that we been basically like barred from other spaces. There's a love we've created as a community, being homeless, being out here in the streets trying to survive. So it's like, it's not what it looks like, like we're just trying to bully the subway or nothing like that. It's more like we came for like a cure for our pains and shit. Like, we come down here, we don't feel ashamed or vulnerability going through things that we share with our brothers. So that's what it is. It's more that for us. It's not nothing else, it's a survival thing.”

Direct PATCO Resident Testimony: Skye

“I'm Skye. I was incarcerated last year on April 20th. I got out, I lost my apartment. They said it was abandoned. Rent paid in full, they still took it. So that's what brought me down here. I been down here since, now they tellin me I gotta go somewhere. Shelters is not for me. Corona is out, I don't wanna be that close to too many people. I like where I'm at. I'm comfortable. I can come and go as I please. I don't like rules and regulations at all. I'm 45 years old and I'm ready to move on and step up. So y'all stick with us, keep us in prayer. God is good.”

Following PATCO entrances have a police presence:
16th north side (one cop),
15th St North side (four bike cops),
Juniper has 20+ cops, half on bikes,
13th has 6+ cops

This is currently the only entrance/exit for 15th that isn’t gated, they put a barricade in front and drove off.

Update: All entrances to the PATCO have some police presence.

Main concentration of police is at Juniper and Locust. White-shirt police coordinating on the 15th street side.

Three police have posted themselves downstairs at the entrance on 15th St.
