Hey Inquirer, I appreciate you calling yourselves out, but it means nothing if we wake up tomorrow or next week to another article sensationalizing the shooting rate or crime when police are still shooting civilians at higher ratios than the civilian gun violence and the child incarceration is still higher than when Walter Wallace was shot and killed in November. When are you gonna report on these things?

Defend the Community Healing Garden from gentrification!
For years, decades even, the owner of this property was nowhere to be found. When a woman was murdered and dumped on this property, the owner was nowhere to be found. When the community came together and created a garden on this property to help heal from that trauma, the property owner was nowhere. We have been distributing free groceries from this site, working together to heal the land and the community for year, and now the property owner wants us to leave the lot so they can build a single family home to rent at full market price. They have no interest in even creating affordable housing for our neighborhood. Please join us and help us save the Community Healing Garden
Now that Philly has begun sensationalizing the gun violence again with the 300th homicide this year. I want to do some comparisons between police gun violence and civilian gun violence. I dont have an accurate count of police violence for this years police gun violence rate yet. But I do have last years. 34 police shootings from 6000 officers would be equal to 8937 shootings from 1579000 residents. But there were not 8937 shootings last year. There were 2200. Which means police gun violence occurs at a rate 4 times higher per capita than civilian gun violence in Philadelphia. This year there have been 1224 shootings in Philadelphia. For it to be on pace with last years police gun violence there would need to be 4021 shootings so far this year. So that means Philadelphia police last year were still 3.5 times more violent than Philadelphians have been this year. So stop sensationalizing your neighbors as violent and start sensationalizing the violence police commit. Make sure everyone knows how violent the police are in comparison to the residents they are supposed to "protect"
