#scanner 26th District bike team reporting the crowd is dispersed in Kenzington
#scanner 2-alarm fire ongoing at the oil refinery at 26th and Penrose. The city claims no shelter in place order, but they and the petrochemical companies didn’t alert us last time until it was too late and we’d all been exposed to benzenes. Take measures now to limit fume exposure if you’re downwind, such as closing all windows.
Keep an eye out for opportunities to assist remotely in the path of Hurricane Ida. Also be aware that Ida is set to hit us Wed or Thurs.

NOLA is now fully without power, including.... The sewer department. This means that the pumps that are supposed to help keep the water out have failed.
The aftermath is expected to be pretty bad
Please donate to verified mutual aid efforts if you can, and boost and share.
(And maybe go fill up your gas tank as gas will probably go up)
