Tackling poverty is good, but the endless incarceration has to stop. The recidivism is caused by this, the school to prison pipeline, and how our system focuses on creating an industry of prison laborers that took the jobs from most of the workers in prepackaged food factories in the region and across the nation. These prisoners are forced to work for less. Until this authoritarian system that punishes entire communities for their race and economic class is ended, and replaced with a system of restoration and healing, this homicide and crime rate will not escape Philadelphia's headlines. The system has stolen everything from its people and it must be tackled just as hard as we tackle the root causes of poverty.

It is insane that we just extended the moratorium to march, people are losing their homes and unable to afford to move. 50% of renters in some states are at risk of eviction. But the real estate market is doing great!

Note, the MLS jerseys do feature corporate sponsors on the front. Philadelphia's jersey features Bimbo bread products based out of Horsham. Their jerseys say either Bimbo or Artesano across the front sponsoring corporate bread.
Philly thank you for your actions in calling Vybe urgent care. We have received word that their CFO called the patient, and they are changing their policy to accept anyone regardless if they can provide a HSA/credit/debit card for appoinment costs. 25% of americans do not have a bank account, and having accessible, walk in covid testing sites is super important for them. A lot of those unbanked people have a physical disability that can prevent them from driving to a drive thru testing location. This is a huge pay wall knocked down for South Philadelphian's who rely on urgent care facilities for their covid tests if they are not already patients of the health clinic at Broad and Morris and cant use the drive thru at CVS
Hey Philly, the peak of the storm is about to begin and will last until the early afternoon. If you're in an area that floods, please seek higher ground. Please do not underestimate water.
Solidarity to all of our neighbors who live near the Darby Creek and everyone else who has been effected by Isaias. I find myself at the mouth of the creek very often to birdwatch and it breaks my heart seeing the damage the flooding has caused to your community. I am sorry for being offline much of yesterday. Please follow @PhilaOEM on twitter for information about resources for flood victims and emergency management.

Earlier today, a small satellite encampment of Camp JTD that was set up in Eakins Oval was raided by police without warning or notice. 10 tents and all property inside were destroyed by rented bulldozers, brought on trucks with covered license plates.
Things to do:
- Donate to WRC to help replace tents at $wrevolutionary
- Spread the word and BOYCOTT SP+ parking, the company that called and paid for the eviction!

With major flooding like this, comes a lot of trash going into our waterways. Even if you do not litter, storm runoff can take trash along with it that spills out overflowed bins and ends up in the same waterways we drink from. Do your part this week and #PHILABAG
