#CTA This is happening now @ 33rd and Market! Rally to Save the UC Townhomes at the Mario Statue @ 33 and Market. More support was requested.
Eight Drexel students are sitting in at the President's office at 3141 Chestnut St. They have been there since the afternoon of Feb 21 demanding that Drexel University commit to being good neighbors and support community movements.

Drexel Community for Justice is demanding that John Fry and Drexel University:
Directly commit $10 million to the preservation of the Townhomes as 100%, permanent low-income housing support Townhomes
Remove Brett Altman and David Adelman from Drexel’s Real Estate Advisory Council

Drexel must act NOW to ensure families can stay in their homes.

Students need supporters outside, social media and press coverage, and vocal community support so they do not face retaliation for standing up for the people who make up our community.

UC Townhomes supporters are not planning to leave until their demands are met. Specifically they ask people *with Drexel IDs* willing to come into the building and be with them for support. The more who are there resisting the displacement of families the more pressure it will send to the administration to stop being complicit in the destruction of community.
