The program is aimed to foster the growth of the 1inch ecosystem and the DeFi industry at large.

🗓 On September 1, 2021, the 1inch Foundation will begin distribution of 10M 1INCH tokens as gas consumption refund to users who will stake 1INCH through the 1inch dApp.

💡 The idea of such a gas refund initiative was proposed by the 1inch 👥 community members through the 1inch Network’s governance forum.

💸 The spent gas amount will be refunded in 1INCH tokens on the first day of each subsequent month.

📆 The first refund distribution for the end of July and August staking will take place on September 1.

‼️ To be eligible for monthly gas refunds, 1inch users need to stake 1INCH for the whole period between the first swap in a month to be taken into consideration and the day of the gas refund distribution itself.

The amount of staked 1INCH tokens is also important as:

✅ staking of 100 1INCH => 25% gas refund;
✅ staking of 1,000 1INCH => 50% gas refund;
✅ staking of 10,000 1INCH => 75% gas refund;
✅ staking of 100,000 1INCH => 100% gas refund.

⏱ The current refund program will run until the 10M 1INCH mark is reached.

⚠️ Please, note that only transactions with such parameters as ‘fast gas price’ and ‘slippage tolerance >= 1%’ chosen in the 1inch dApp (either web or iOS versions) are eligible for refunds.

🦄👊 Moreover, the violation of community rules by increasing the activity of unscrupulous users will result in automatic disqualification.

👁 As transparency has always come first for 1inch, it is essential to share with you that the upcoming ETH upgrade will make some of the network's tokens obsolete.

‼️ Among those assets affected by the hard fork, will be Ethereum's gas token GST2 and its improved version developed by the 1inch team – CHI.

💡 The London hard fork will do away with the current system, under which gas tokens were used to incentivize users to remove data from the network, which they no longer needed.

✅ The 1inch Network has always been focused on enabling users to save on gas costs. Even though CHI will no longer be useful, there are other initiatives, such as the recently announced 💰 gas refund program 🦄

🚨 Attention! The London hard fork activated EIP-1559, which dramatically changed the Ethereum gas fee model.

As a result, the 1inch Foundation decided to adjust gas refund requirements.

‼️ Only the base fee amount is subject to refund.

Because of the previous gas price requirement to be less or equal to the fast gas price, the fast gas price is not a restriction anymore.

✅ Staking requirements remain unchanged.
