Expect a SURGE in EXTREME Natural Disasters – UN Weather Expert Warns

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has issued a stark report predicting more heatwaves, hurricanes, and rising global temperatures:

“The number of weather, climate and water extremes are increasing and will become more frequent and severe. […] More lives are being saved thanks to early warning systems, but it is also true the number of people exposed to disaster risk is increasing due to population growth in hazard-exposed areas.”

The report looked at extreme weather and climate incidents between 1970 and 2019 – counting 11,000 events and noting disasters have increased FIVEFOLD in the past 50-years, due to climate change.
