Israeli Cops make “one of largest” ever drug lab busts in country’s history

A secret investigation has led Israeli police to an underground facility in the city of Rishon Lezion, where a record-amount of illicit drugs were being produced, investigators said.

Marijuana and equipment used for growing and manufacturing drugs were discovered in the lab worth an estimated $4.8 million — making it "one of the largest and most unique laboratories ever captured in Israel,” Chief Superintendent Yaniv Wolowitz said.

Seven suspects were taken into custody who are now facing multiple drug trafficking and manufacturing charges.

Cargo Crisis: Shipping giant Maersk diverts ships from backlogged UK ports

“Further disruption” to supply chains may be ‘unavoidable’ in the UK after Maersk, the world’s largest container shipping company, began diverting vessels away from Britain's main ports which are full.

The backlog has been caused by a shortage of truck drivers, unavailable to move unloaded containers to free up space for large ships to dock - the same issue that triggered a petrol crisis.
