The question is
Are you running towards life
Or are you running from death?
Because, you see
This is the tragic irony:
The more you clutch and the more you hold
The more you fear that transition
Your golden ticket onto the cosmic train

The less
you
LIVE

When you squeeze so tightly with both hands
You push the breath out of life
Joy suffocates
Spontaneity wilts
Freedom gasps a swan song

If only we could see
Life is a beautiful illusion
Your days here are a stage
On which the play that is your life unfolds
The eternal audience:
Enraptured stars
Delighted by our humans scars
Our foibles, our troubles
Our dreams and triumphs

And all the while
Death waits in the wings
Patient, benevolent
Yes, he is these things
He is not darkness
He is not pain
He is not evil
Here to drain
Your life essence
He merely wants to take your hand
And lead you quietly to a new land
A place where separation does not exist
Where you will finally discover
The true nature of yourself and your brothers
Free from this human form
To fly in the cosmos and dance with the stars
Who have been waiting and watching from afar

Until you decide to yet again
Dive down to Earth
To a new physical form
To see what more you can learn
What new wisdom can you earn
What service can you bring
To your fellow souls here in the flesh
As you traverse Earth school version 10.0

Because you are not a drop in the ocean
You are the entire ocean in just one drop
We all come from Source
We all will return
I am you
You are me
And we are we
All expressions of the One
Here to play, to be
Until we’re done
That moment of transition
You decided before you came
There’s no reason to fear
This magical life game

So, I ask again
Are you running towards life
With everything you’ve got
