There are disruptions at several banks and problems with paying by card, several users tell SVT. Swedbank has extensive disruptions in several services.
- We have established what the cause of the disturbances is. We have no time indication at the moment for when it can be resolved, says Unni Jerndal, press spokesperson at Swedbank to SVT.
It is a problem to log in to the internet bank and the Swedbank app due to a disruption. It also creates problems to swish from and to Swedbank users. The site downdetector has thousands of reports of problems with Swedbank.
- We apologize to customers for the problems it can cause and work hard to solve it, says Unni Jerndal at Swedbank.
Swedbank does not currently want to go into the technical details of what caused the disruptions, but says it has identified the problem.
The savings banks also have operational disruptions and their website is down. The bank SEB also seems to have problems with several reports of technical errors.
Problems with card payments
Users state that it is a problem to pay with cards in stores, and in Nordea's app, users have received a warning that card purchases can be disrupted. But now the problems must be solved.
- The operational disruptions have been resolved, it was for 45 minutes here in the morning that some card purchases with Visa did not work and it could say "Not allowed". It was now resolved at about a quarter to nine in the morning, says Viktor Janrik, press communicator at Nordea.
Skandiabanken has problems in connection with card transactions, the bank states for SVT.
- We are working on the problem and hope that it will soon be solved, says Markus Sjöqvist, acting press manager at Skandiabanken.
Ica customers have had problems paying in the stores, but the problem should not lie with Ica Bank.
- Icabanken does not currently have any disruptions, but the problem concerns payment cards and card payments with external banks. It is not the Ica cards that have problems, but they are external cards and the problem most likely lies with Swedbank, says Jenny Gerdes, press officer at the Ica group.
