The reason we celebrate Christmas on December 25 is related to the winter stolstice on December 21, the shortest
day and longest night of the year. After that, the days begin to lengthen again and winter has begun.
This has been celebrated in the northern hemisphere since ancient times and therefore this date was "Christianized" by the first Christians who simply took over this feast and later by the Church because taking over something was easier than eradicating it.
So don't be fooled into thinking that this date belongs to the "evil cabal". Remember that any symbol or thing can be used both for good as for evil. That is not because of the thing or symbol itself, but because of the intention of the person who uses it. Therefore abolishing or banning the thing is just as senseless as abolishing water, because you could drown someone in it, while you can also save someone's life with it of course.
