Sources indicated that Turkey plans to expand its cross-border strike zone from 5 to 30 kilometres, focusing on YPG/SDF-held areas linked to the PKK. The objective is to neutralise separatist groups and stabilise northern Syria in coordination with Damascus.
Most of the supplied weaponry is expected to be deployed in northern regions, with Turkish officials reportedly seeking to avoid friction with Israel by limiting the presence of such systems in Syria’s southwest.
