🇺🇸 Renaming the US Department of Defense to the Department of War could cost up to $2 billion: the money is needed to replace signs, plaques, ID cards, and forms throughout the US military, as well as to redesign websites and programs, writes NBC News.

New signs and forms alone will cost approximately $1 billion.The decision still needs to be approved by Congress.

The law has not yet been passed, but Trump has already signed an executive order allowing Secretary Pete Hagseth to be called “Secretary of War.” The new name is already on the Pentagon's website and social media accounts.

The White House says the renaming “reflects the agency's combat mission” and has not commented on the cost.

Let me remind you that House Speaker Johnson is blocking the vote on the release of the Epstein files.

To get around his blockade, 218 signatures must be collected on a petition. Then the vote will take place.

217 signatures were collected long ago. And in September, a Democrat was elected to the House in one of the districts, who promised to sign the petition immediately.

And since then, Johnson has not held a single House session so that the newly elected representative could not be sworn in 🫠🫠🫠

But now the House won't have a meeting until the shutdown ends, so we are waiting for the 218th signature and the show to continue.
