⚡️🇱🇾🇺🇦 Sources report heightened security activity yesterday around PM Dabaiba’s villa in Andalus district, Tripoli. A vehicle linked to the 111th Brigade was followed by another reportedly connected to Ukrainian military attaché Col. Andriy Bayuk.

A high-level closed-door meeting reportedly took place between Dabaiba, Bayuk, and Abdelsalam Zoubi to oversee a security operation allegedly tied to Ukrainian intelligence.

These movements follow an earlier agreement between Mohammed Al-Haddad and Turkey to remove Ukrainian drone experts from western Libya, after reports suggested their support to armed groups.

⚡️🇹🇷🇱🇾🇺🇳🇲🇹 It has been revealed that Falcon 50 aircraft with registration number 9H-DFS involved in today's crash in Ankara, Turkey, belonging to Harmony Jets, was previously working for the rebel forces of General Haftar, the enemy of late Libyan Chief of Staff Mohammed al-Haddad in Libyan civil war, and this activity was recognized by the UN (PDF file of the report).

Between August 2023 and September 2024, Harmony Jets flew to rebel-controlled Benghazi 47 times. Throughout this period, UN states that Harmony Jets of provided transportation services to a company called Irish Training Solutions (ITS), a private company specialized in military and security training, and accuses Harmony Jets of non-compliance to due diligence measures imposed by the UN.

Harmony Jets is also accused of facilitating ITS's delivery of military equipment for personal protection of Haftar Affiliated Forces (HAF), essentially accused of not complying with UN sanctions and facilitating arms transportation to Haftar.

83. The Panel’s investigation into the reported delivery of military training and military equipment for personal protection for HAF in 2023 by an Irish private company specialized in military and security training – Irish Training Solutions (ITS) – was triggered by the national investigations of two Member States (see annex 46).

84. The Panel determined that Harmony Jets, a Maltese charter flight service provider, which maintained regular flights to Libya, provided transportation services to the ITS trainers to enter Libya. 59 In the context of the Panel’s investigation to establish the purpose of these transfers of ITS trainers to Libya, the company stated to the Panel that: (a) it had carried out flights to Libya; (b) “no flight was sold” to ITS staff; (c) passengers had not identified themselves as belonging to ITS; and (d) it had not transported “weapons or dangerous goods” to Libya. The company declined to provide information regarding personal protection equipment or passenger manifests, citing privacy laws with regard to the latter. The Panel found Harmony Jets to be in non-compliance with paragraphs 19 and 20 of resolution 2701 (2023).

According to an October 2024 report by Blackist.aero, an airline journal specializing in fraudulent activity, the same aircraft (Falcon 50 aircraft registration number 9H-DFS) was held at Lyon airport by the French police for 5 months on charges of systematically transporting dual-use and military goods (drone, small arms) to General Hafter's forces.

In short, the very plane in which the Libyan Chief of Staff along with other high-ranking military officials died in, was previously working for the rebel forces in Libya. This information alone cannot lead us to conclusions but raises question marks on the broader patterns of aircraft use and prior affiliations.
