In a poster shared by Houthi media, Hajar was described as a major general, one of the highest ranks in the Yemeni military hierarchy
Other high ranking Houthis officers killed by the US visible in the poster includes:
Ahmad Hajar, Abdallah Hajar, and Hussein Hajarhis (senior staff, all Brigadier General rank equivalents, with family connections) and Muhammad Al-Hayfi, an operations officer of Houthi special forces
