🇸🇾🇸🇾🤝🇷🇺For the first time the Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa reveal Russia's role in the fall of Assad:
➡️For the first time I mention, an agreement was made between us and the Russians in Hama, then they withdrew from the battle, and commitments were made between us which we have fulfilled until now.

➡️Russia had certain interests, and not a particular attachment to Bashar. After the agreement with us, they withdrew from the battle.

🇷🇺🇮🇷🇮🇱- "Russia was secretly informed by Israel of Tel Aviv's intention to strike in Iran at least 3 days before the attack," - Mohammad-Hossein Saffar-Harandi, Member of the Iranian Expediency Discernment Council (an assembly of members chosen directly by the Supreme Leader).

Note, Saffar-Harandi is a member of Iran's most far-right and Islamist political party Paydari Front. Saffar-Harandi rose to prominence in Iranian politics during the Ahmadinejad-era, former 'anti-Russian' President of Iran.

🇶🇦 🇵🇸 👹 🇮🇱 The Wall Street Journal has revealed that in order to carry out the attack, Israel employed 8 F15s and 4 F35s that fired air-launched ballistic missiles into space over the red sea, thus technically speaking not penetrating Saudi airspace, as the airspace of countries is typically recognized as ending once you reach 100 kilometers above sea level. ✈️

🪐 Anything beyond that is not formally recognized to belong to any state as thats the boundary where Earth's atmosphere ends and outer space begins.

🥷 🕎 Plan A was a covert mossad operation to Assassinate the Hamas leadership but this was reportedly rejected by some in the Mossad who believed it would undo years of progress achieved in regards to Israel’s diplomatic relationships with Qatar. The government went behind their back and ordered an airstrike instead.

2️⃣ In the end, the attack failed. A second attempt is likely and there’s not much Qatar’s airforce can do to prevent it, as the country lacks political backing or military means to effectively counter the Israeli airforce.

🤓For our readers needing a bit of regional context-

👵Qatar is basically the geopolitical version of a friendly grandma’s house.

🗺Ofc no country is perfect, but in the Levant/GCC zone, Qatar is the only country that everyone else has at least a marginally friendly view of.

🤝This means that if two countries in that region need to broker a deal, you almost always end up in Qatar to do it bc it’s as close to neutral ground as it gets

😊External countries also respect Qatar’s mediation value. The US conducts almost all of its unofficial relations with Iran in Qatar for example.

😕Even Israel (until now ig) recognized the value of respecting Qatar. So this has the potential of being a pretty big bridge that they burned
