Contractors take advantage knowing the branches can only buy from them so they will mark a fucking item up 1000% knowing they are the only ones who are aloud to sell you said product
Anyone who has been issued CIF gear knows how retarded things cost that civilian side can be gotten for cheap as fuck. Example is a gas mask will run up like $800 if you loose it but you can walk into a surplus store or websites that sell gear and grab it for $300.
