Meet Donald...
A wee little calf whose mother refused to look in his direction.
We had to separate him from the main herd in day two of being alive because the mother refused to feed him. As soon as we got home and put him on the yard, he immediately tried to run back to the herd, or rather where he thought the herd was, through 2 fences. Because of this development we put him in a holding pen that he could not escape from so we wouldnt lose track of him until he was very familiar with us and coming for his regular feedings. He took his first two bottles very well, being the hungry little calf he was, but then.... He refused his next feeding... And the one following that... Finally after being loved on for a good 20 minutes he perked up and was nuzzling me and rubbing on my leg and licking my face. I then offered him the bottle again, and he took it without hesitation. 'So cute, he must've just wanted some attention. He must be sad from missing the herd,' I thought. He took his next bottle very well, and I didnt give it another thought. Then at his next feeding he refused to get up and come see me... I was like... 'Maybe he needs some more love'. I started loving on him again, talking sweet and lots of kisses and petting. He perked up a little bit, but then went back to his corner and laid down like a sad sack of potatoes... I couldn't figure it... But because he was quite calm now, I decided to try setting him out with our milk cows, so he wouldn't be so lonely. IMMEDIATELY after seeing the milk cows there was a sudden life in his mood and he started nuzzling me again, and licking my legs. Gracie (one of the milk cows) came up, and started smelling him and he started running circles around her in glee. He came up to me and took his bottle again without coaxing. Never have I ever had such a wee thing be so depressed. And never have I seen an animals emotions so clearly as in wee lil Donald.
The moral of this story is, everything needs love. Whether you realize it or not.

Hey! Yeah, you....
I dunno where you are sitting, or how you are feeling right now, but I just want you to know that its all gonna work out, okay? That thing you are worried about? Its all gonna be okay. I promise. Because there is no way, that the God of the Universe would send you this problem, if He didnt think you could handle it. Life does get better, God always provides, and the sun will rise again. God loves YOU.
I know someone needed to hear that.
It may not be tonight... or tomorrow. Maybe it'll be in a few years, but I know I was supposed to write this for someone to see.
