>Noreen O' Shea, a Lakeside resident and one of the key speakers at last week's event, told the Leader that the event will take place at the shopping centre at Ballymany, and that the protestors plan to walk from there to Fine Gael Minister Martin Heydon TD's office.

>She said that the aim of the protest is to highlight modular homes 'being imposed on our overloaded estates.'

A HUGE number of nursing homes around the country have evicted their residents in favour of the more lucrative business model of accommodating Ukrainians.

No nursing homes are closing to accommodate Ukrainians says the CEO of Nursing Homes Ireland Tadhg Daly.

Nursing homes are being forced to close for unspecified reasons and then reopening to house Ukrainians.

This is the guy who had his asylum application refused. He went on 'hunger strike ' for 9 days and was granted leave to remain. He's now meeting Mehole no less, to discuss his housing situation. How fucking stupid are we????

Teacher Enoch Burke has been sent to Mountjoy Prison for contempt of court.

>The schoolteacher opposed an application from Wilson’s Hospital School for his imprisonment, saying: “I love my school. I am here today because I would not call a boy a girl.”

>He told Mr Justice Michael Quinn: “It is not something I will do. It is in violation of my conscience.”

The Wonderful Barn, a corkscrew-shaped building on the edge of Castletown House Estate in Lexilip , also built via the Conolly family.

Known for its unusual shape, it was built in 1743, following the famine of 1740-41, as there was a need for new grain stores in case of another famine. The Conollys owned Kilmacredock and rented it out, so the barn was also useful for their tenants who stored their grains in it.

The National Indoor Arena did not open its doors to the Irish sleeping rough. However when people travel from thousands of miles away from places like Georgia, all sporting events are immediately cancelled. It shows the contempt the government has for the Irish people and the deference it has to foreigners.

The National Party would quickly assess asylum seekers and immediately deport failed applicants. This would immediately lessen the demand on refugee facilities and also reduce the number of applicants coming in the first place.

Another good interview from Ben Scallan with an asylum shopper from Egypt whose asylum bid was previously rejected in England where he has been living for the past 15 years working the black market.

He casually tells Scallan what attracted him to Ireland was Justice Minister Helen McEntee's lenient asylum system which he understands typically grants bogus asylum seekers Leave To Remain.

He also appreciates the right to work while he goes through the process of failing his asylum application but being allowed to stay regardless, and the fact that he can get a bank account.

In England, he says the police are constantly taking his fingerprints for unspecified reasons but that's not the case here.

To get to Ireland he says he just took an 'easy' trip on the ferry.

The UK/Ireland common travel area is an agreement only open to British and Irish citizens but it's long been abused by foreigners in both directions and neither government has shown much desire to fix it.

Cross-checks carried out by gardaí in 2012 using British fingerprint records revealed that about two thirds of 2,000 failed asylum seekers they investigated were known to Britain's Border Agency under a different name.

About a third had given a different nationality to UK authorities and 600 had already been identified by UK agencies as asylum shoppers. A majority had already been granted UK visas.

That's ten years ago and it sounds like nothing has been done to solve the problem since.

In 2015, there were 3,276 asylum applications and the top five countries of origin for applicants were Pakistan (41.3%), Bangladesh (8.7%), Albania (6.5%), Nigeria (5.7%), India (4.4%). Others were 33.4%.

This led to urgent talks between the immigration authorities in Ireland and the UK Home Office because the majority had prior immigration history there. But those urgent talks don't seem to have lead to much.

This Egyptian asylum shopper estimates that there are a million failed asylum seekers in England who work the black market as he did, and their authorities know all about it. Sounds like more and more of them are learning about Helen McEntee's "justice system" too. Why bother deporting them when they'll just self-deport to Ireland...

The bottom line is we need a pan-European solution to the asylum question. Europe can't be expected to accept limitless asylum seekers in perpetuity who never go home. Again, the best idea I've seen is for a refugeeland to be constructed in Africa somewhere on leased land — a sort of city state operated and maintained by European people (nobody else could do it). Once asylum fraudsters learn they won't be getting into Europe, they'll stop trying and genuine asylum seekers can be catered to there until their countries are safe to return to.

>“We made it clear from the outset that where people are fleeing war and persecution that we are here to help them, and I don't think that policy should change,” said Ms McEntee.

So how about just changing the policy on those who aren't fleeing anything like the vast majority of cases for the past 25 years?

Also, according to the last Red C poll on the issue, 53% of people said that Ireland should NOT take in any more refugees.

Only 35% of people believe we should, so you can imagine what the result would be if they polled for asylum fraudsters.

It's Minister McEntee who is in the minority and she knows that as otherwise she would have campaigned on increasing immigration during the last election but none of them ever do. That subject is always off limits. 🤔

I received the attached today by email - same being a "Protect the Protest" campaign by Amnesty International Ireland, wherein they highlight their campaign for a woman "leading a protest over authorities response to the COVID-19 pandemic..."

Please Tweet, Facebook or email Amnesty to convey your anger that they would fight for the right to protest for someone in Zimbabwe, but not in Ireland. They need to be asked why they are not holding similar campaigns for the hundreds of people who were prosecuted for the EXACT SAME CRIME in this country.

Absolute hypocrisy.

Irish twatter enjoying the hollow surface level type of nationalism that they allow themselves to indulge in by gloating at the death of an English royal, get stimulated further with the bonus validation of black twitter.

This is what peak cringe looks like.

Tomorrow they'll be back to their usual routine of supporting the new colonisation of Ireland but for now: Take that, Brits. Tee-hee.
