На памятнике Тысячелетия России, который находится в Великом Новгороде напротив Софийского собора, есть композиция с Михаилом Фёдоровичем Романовым, Мининым и Пожарским.

☦️🌟 The Orthodox Catechism on the Mother of God 🌟☦️
186. Did the Most Holy Mary remain, in fact, ever a virgin?
She remained and remains a virgin before the birth, during the birth, and after the birth of the Saviour; and therefore is called ever-virgin.
187. What other great noscript is there with which the Orthodox Church honors the Most Holy Virgin Mary?
That of Mother of God.
188. Can you show the origin of this noscript in holy Scripture?
It is taken from the following words of the Prophet Isaiah : Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and they shall call his name Immanuel, which, being interpreted, is, God with us. Isaiah vii. 14; Matt. i. 23.
So, also, the righteous Elisabeth calls the Most Holy Virgin The Mother of the Lord; which noscript is all one with that of Mother of God. Whence is this to me, that the Mother of my Lord should come to me? Luke i. 43.
189. In what sense is the Most Holy Virgin called Mother of God?
Although Jesus Christ was born of her not after his Godhead, which is eternal, but after the manhood, still she is rightly called the Mother of God; because he that was born of her was, both in the conception itself and in the birth from her, as he ever is, very God.
Most Holy Theotokos, save us!

Pat. Daniel of Romania Highlights the Sacred Role of Family
URLATI — On Sunday, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, addressed the faithful at the St. Mary Monastery in Urlați (Prahova County), focusing on the importance of the family in light of the Gospel read during the Divine Liturgy.
As reported by Basilica News Agency, while drawing from the Gospel, the Patriarch outlined three key teachings: the contrast between the joy surrounding Christ’s birth and the hostility of King Herod; God’s protection of the Infant Jesus through angelic guidance to the Righteous Joseph; and Christ’s return from Egypt to Galilee, underscoring His mission as Savior not only of Israel, but of all peoples.

On Envy – Jealousy How should we deal with someone who is jealous of us?
Our heart must not cease to love him. Just as we love the whole world, we must also love those who envy us.
Now, what exactly we should do for such people—our spiritual father will tell us.
One general piece of advice the Holy Fathers give is that when someone envies us, we should avoid him. We should let him see us as little as possible, and especially avoid letting him see our progress—any kind of progress—which could potentially provoke him to envy us.
Avoiding him, in this case, is an act of love.
Unfortunately, worldly people, both in the past and today, like to show off: taking out their nice car to drive around, showing their name-brand shirts, and so on. This is not love, because it stirs the other person to envy. Those who show off their wealth know this and do it on purpose, saying:
“I’ll make him burst with jealousy...”
This is, of course, not love.
You must do the opposite: remove the brand labels, choose a humble car, and so forth.
You should do all of this out of love for your brothers who are weak and who fall into the sin of jealousy and envy.

"As it is impossible to verbally describe the sweetness of honey to one who never tasted honey, so the goodness of God cannot be clearly communicated by way of teaching if we ourselves are not able to penetrate into the goodness of the Lord by our own experience." + St Basil the Great (Jan 1)

☦️🌟 Candles have deep symbolism. St. Seraphim of Sarov advised to look at them when tired during the service (better to stand with eyes closed in general, he taught).
