Reminder that no matter how old your piercing (the hole not the jewelry xP) is, your body still recognizes it as exposed inner flesh.
So keeping that area & everything that comes in contact with it clean is important.
For example,
i forgot to wash & replace my pillow covers...so now my earlibe piercing ftom childhood (20+ years old) is infected and upset with me. Gotta wear clean jewelry & keep it extra clean til it chills out again to avoid it deciding to close.
