Ordered a new chest binder. My old one was a size too small & i need a proper fitting one for the new job. Its indoors so i cant hide my moobs in coat layers 😂😅

Aaaa cant wait for it to arriiiive. Been too long since i could wear one longterm. Was only wearing my old one for emergencies since its unsafe to wear one so tight.

TLDR: The Vagus Nerve is our universal reset button.

Get it to chill out & you give yourself time to shift gears & use your coping tools.

The Vagus Nerve is our 10th Cranial Nerve and the longest nerve in the body. It travels from the brain stem through the neck and connects with the cardiovascular system, digestive system and even the reproductive system. It basically takes readings from all the systems and organs and relays information to and from the brain, like a neural super-highway.

The Vagus Nerve interfaces with the Parasympathetic Nervous System (rest and digest), which is part of our Autonomic Nervous System. When we are under stress, physical or emotional, our Sympathetic Nervous System (fight, flight, or freeze), is stimulated response, and although this response is essential for survival, we don't want to be in that state for long periods of time. It is important to maintain homeostasis in our minds and bodies.

When the Vagal Nerve is functioning well, the blood glucose regulation is better, lowers the risk of diabetes, stroke and cardiovascular disease, decreased inflammation, improved immune function, better sleep and mood.

I like using a hot pack and an ice pack on the back of the neck interchangeably for a quick reset when I'm in a panic or starting to spiral.

Lets my mind clear enough to make better choices.
