Title:

Study of linearized fluctuating hydrodynamics via random polynomials

Title in Persian:

مطالعه هیدرودینامیک اختلالی خطی شده به کمک توابع تصادفی

Abstract:

Recently, and due to some experimental observations, such as the collectivity in the collision of small hadrons like proton+proton or proton+lead, the use of Relativistic Hydrodynamics in its old form in modeling the collision of heavy ions has encountered some challenges. We will discuss these challenges and also address the new observations in the collision of small systems. We will then show how we can bring together the fluctuation and the analytical requirements to reproduce the real propagation modes. The role of the fluctuation is crucial and it turns out that with its help we can make the non-hydrodynamic modes in such systems vanish or fade out.

Random Matrix Gravity and Double Hierarchy Problem

Nima Khosravi

Department of Physics, Sharif University of Technology,
Department of Physics, Shahid Beheshti University

Abstract:

Why are the cosmological constant, electroweak and Planck scales so different? This ``double hierarchy" problem, where Λ≪M^2_EW≪M^2_p, is one of the most pressing in fundamental physics. We show that in a theory of N randomly coupled massive gravitons at the electroweak scale, these scales are linked precisely by such a double hierarchy for large N, with intriguing cosmological consequences. Surprisingly, in all the physical scales, only one massless graviton emerges which is also, effectively, the only one that is coupled to matter, giving rise to standard Einstein gravity, with M^2_pGμν=Tμν at large N. In addition, there is a tower of massive gravitons, the lightest of which can drive late-time acceleration. In this scenario, the observed empirical relation ΛMp^2∼M_EW^4 as well as the double hierarchy, arise naturally since since Λ ∼ M_EW^2/√(N) and Mp^2 ∼ √(N)M_EW^2.

Title:

Chiral symmetry breaking and monopoles in gauge theories

Title in Persian:

شکست تقارن کایرال و تک قطبی ها در نظریه های پیمانه ای

Abstract:

QCD monopoles are magnetically charged quasiparticles whose Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC) at T<Tc creates electric confinement and flux tubes. The “magnetic scenario” of QCD proposes that scattering on the non-condensed component of the monopole ensemble at T>Tc plays an important role in explaining the properties of strongly coupled quark-gluon plasma (sQGP) near the deconfinement temperature. In this paper, we study the phenomenon of chiral symmetry breaking and its relation to magnetic monopoles. Specifically, we study the eigenvalue spectrum of the Dirac operator in the basis of fermionic zero modes in an SU(2) monopole background. We find that as the temperature approaches the deconfinement temperature ω=0 from above, the eigenvalue spectrum has a finite density at ω=0, indicating the presence of a chiral condensate. In addition, we find the critical scaling of the eigenvalue gap to be consistent with that of the correlation length in the 3d Ising model and the BEC transition of monopoles on the lattice.

Fine structure of the massless perturbation theory series in QCD and the generalizations of the Crewther relation

Title in Persian:

ساختار ریز سری‌های نظریه اغتشاشی بی‌جرم در کرومودینامیک کوانتومی و تعمیم های رابطه کروتر

Abstract:

The structure of the beta-expanded representations for the coefficients of the perturbative QCD series for the e^+e^-- annihilation Adler function and Bjorken polarized and Gross-Llewellyn Smith neutrino DIS sum rule is analysed. The product of the series for the Adler function and these Deep-inelastic scattering sum rules obeys the generalized Crewther relation, which reflects the manifestation pf the proportional to the RG Beta-function conformal symmetry breaking perturbative contribution into the amplitide of pi- gamma gamma decay / The relation of the beta-expanded represntations for these series to proper treatment of the renormalon free PT QCD variants pf the Brodsky-Lepage-Mackenzie scale fixing procedure is discussed. The relation to the perturbative quenced QCD and finite QED limits expressions, which are realized in the non-distingushed in the experimentally related conformal symmetry limit considerations is clarified.

Imprint of Massive Neutrinos on Persistent Homology (Morphology) of Large-Scale Structure

Mohammad Hossein Jalali Kanafi

Department of Physics, Shahid Beheshti University

Abstract:

The morphology of the cosmos provides valuable information about the structure of the cosmic web, which can be used for cosmological inferences. In this talk, I will discuss the capability of Persistent Homology (PH) as a morphological tool to investigate the impact of massive neutrinos on the Large-Scale Structure (LSS). PH naturally addresses the multi-scale topological characteristics of the LSS as a distribution of clusters, loops, and voids. Utilizing the Fisher forecast formalism, I will provide a quantitative assessment about the constraining power of some PH vectorizations to estimate the parameters of the $\nu \Lambda CDM$ model.
