🇬🇧 #UK: Widespread anti-immigrant and anti-Islam protests have swept across the country today. There have been clashes in several cities including Hull, Manchester, Nottingham, Southport, Sunderland, Blackpool, Liverpool, and Stoke-on-Trent. Many have been organised by far-right organisations in the wake of the horrifying stabbing attack in Southport this week.

Barricades have been erected, fires have been started, battles with counter-protests have begun, fights with police have broken out, and random people are being attacked in the street for the colour of their skin.

🇬🇧 #UK: Rioters in Middlesbrough set up a checkpoint in the town today, checking the colour of the drivers skin before letting them pass. Rioters have also been filmed in the town attacking homes and cars at random as far-right riots continue across the UK.

🇧🇩 #Bangladesh: Bangladeshi PM Sheikh Hasina has resigned and fled the country today after hundreds were killed in a crackdown against anti-government protests.

Protesters stormed the presidential palace
in Dhaka, demanding Hasina’s resignation and justice for the 250 protesters killed by security forces in the last month. Bangladesh’s army chief has now stated that an interim government will be formed in Hasina’s absence.

🇮🇪 #NorthernIreland: Photos from Belfast, where far-right rioters have recently set fire to Muslim-owned businesses in the Sandy Row neighborhood. The homes and vehicles of Muslims in the city have also been attacked, with at least 22 now arrested in connection with the riots. The PSNI has requested 120 officers from #Scotland to be deployed in anticipation of further violence.
