The Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal “church” in Washington DC sued our club in 2023 for allegedly desecrating a BLM banner in 2020. We have no national organization to sue. There is no leader. Chapters are autonomous and only answer to themselves. Regardless, a DC judge awarded this “church” $2.8 million dollars.
Don’t worry guys, the check is in the mail.
Clyde McLemore, the founder and executive director of the Black Lives Matter Lake County, Illinois chapter recently beat a black woman in front of a BLM banner. Honestly, she held her own pretty well. We’ve been waiting for a statement from the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal “church” condemning such behavior in the presence of the sacred banner. After all, disrespect of this banner is incredibly racist and a $2.8 million dollar offense. Beating a black woman in front of it may be worth even more. Surely they will have something to say about it. Maybe they can even cash in. We’ll wait for their condemnation with the same level of anticipation they most certainly have as they wait for our check.
