Luciferianism, which is what Masonry really is, believes in balancing the dark and the light. So most Luciferians are involved with charities and philanthropy because they see that as 'balancing' their dark activities like raping and eating children. Often the charities they support are the same ones they get their victims from.

In actuality they do help others. It's part of Luciferianism to balance out your bad deeds with good ones. Kind of puts those Shriners hospitals in a whole new light. Same with all the wealthy who give to charities.
