With all pride and honor, we mourn the martyrs of our people who ascended early Tuesday morning, at their forefront is the freed and deported prisoner Tarek Izz El-Din from Arraba in Jenin, who ascended along with his family after a life full of struggle against the occupier, patience with pain and illness, and steadfastness during the stages of imprisonment and deportation.
The deported released prisoner Izz El-Din has recorded a bright history and represented a unique model of sacrifice, selflessness, and giving. After spending more than 12 years in the occupation's prisons and being released in the "Faithful to the Free" [prisoner exchange] deal, having been sentenced to life imprisonment, and similarly experiencing deportation from his family and town, he ascends today as a martyr, embracing Alah Almighty.
