A former coal pit outside of Bath, Somerset, is being put up for sale with the possibility for new houses.
The area that is being sold is nearby four primary schools, a secondary school and with "Good transport links" with nearby A roads to bigger towns.
This is a story that has been repeated many times throughout the country- a disused piece of land will be sold for new houses (houses for whom? We can definitely guess who the government will have in mind), then more people need more facilities, the houses bring more buildings, then more, then more...
The proposed sale has not, to our knowledge, met with any alternative proposals, nor with any comment by the locals on whether they want these new houses, or what the effects on our countryside will be.

This weekend, Patriotic Alternative held our spring conference at a lovely venue in the south of England.
Six fantastic speakers addressed a sold out venue and our activists and supporters enjoyed a day of networking, followed by an evening meal. We were made to feel very welcome during our stay and the event took place without any issues.

Good evening, everyone, we here at the Southwest hope everyone had wonderful weekend.
As you may be aware, Patriotic Alternative have had a brilliant conference down South, with 150 attendees, great company, good food and new friendships that were formed.
The Southwest region has made two special contributions to the event, not just our wonderful members turning up and making new friends with the other regional members, one of our members has given PA a brilliant idea.
Our events organiser, has pitched a brilliant idea: making April the demographic awareness month, in which PA activists are tasked with delivering our “White Britons a minority by 2066” leaflets to the general public. The ideal aim of leafletting 1303 households (roughly 20.6 million White households/16000 signed up PA members) for our most dedicated activists, we hope that we can see this target hit and smashed. We also donated 10k leaflets for all to take!
We thank all those who made this weekend!

Getting your letters into a public record like your local newspaper is a great way to reach hundreds more people than you can ordinarily do with word of mouth.

Des Peterson, a woodcarver in Cornwall, has through his grit and determination been able to see off both the degenerate perverts who use a layby for public sex, but also the council who wished to restrict his business.
Mr Peterson, who sells his woodcarvings in the same layby used by the perverts, has applied to the council before only be rejected on the suitability of the layby, with complaints that it was too filthy and littered and that it would pose a safety hazard.
Mr Peterson states:
"The police know about it, everybody knows about it. I pick up all the litter down the north end (of the layby). There is another person who picks up at the south end. There is evidence there if you want to see it - used condoms that we found, it is all there on occasion.”
"I have created at the north a safe and attractive environment for people to stop, take their dogs out and have a little look at the things that I have.”
"I consider myself an environmentalist, I cut the grass, I pick up the litter. It is safe, there is no obstruction, there is no problem there."
Men like Mr. Peterson should be an inspiration to us all, not only as a man who grafts and sells his goods to the people of Britain, but as someone who puts back into his community and cares for the environment.

The Cornwall Wildlife Trust reports today that a suspected arson has left around 15 acres of Rosennanon Downs Nature Reserve torched, destroying roughly 37 football fields worth of preserved wild space in the South West. The above photos show the before and after of the view overlooking the heathland.
The site is home to rare, native species such as the North Devon cattle, Skylarks and more. Cornwall accounts for just over 2% of the world’s lowland heathland, making it an important habitat on a worldwide scale.
Firefighters reporting to the scene at around 8.15pm on the 8th March noted the swathes of ground nesting birds abandoning their nests to flee the blaze.
The Trust reports this as the third major arson in as many years.
